K-Karts at Children's Hospital
Downtown Kiwanis has invested $35,000 to support the "K-Karts" program at HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital. The program provides 7 different karts (sensory, gaming, reading and more) in various departments.
K-Libraries
K-Libraries are popping up all over Springfield and providing reading corners for kids! The libraries, funded by Kiwanis and generous grants, can be found at two Laundromats and at the Springfield YMCA.
Christmas Tree Wishes
In December, Joey Brown challenged the group to provided 28 requested gifts for elderly members at the Villas. Challenge excepted! Thanks to all the Kiwanis members who donated and purchased gifts that were part of Christmas Tree wishes.
Play it forward
Coming January 30th! We're collecting and providing used sports equipment for underserved kids in Springfield. We'll be handing out the equipment on March 18th at the Salvation Army.
Ambulance Teddy Bears
Downtown Kiwanis is funding Teddy Bears for ambulances in Springfield! The bears are given to children who find themselves in traumatic situations. Downtown Kiwanis has handed out over 200 bears already.
Golf Clubs for Underserved Kids
Downtown Kiwanis donated over $900 worth of golf clubs to underserved kids who were part of the Springfield Golf Club! It was part of the Memorial Health Championship and in partnership with Scheels.
